Primesight
PRIMESIGHT is the UK's fastest growing outdoor advertising company, owning and marketing a portfolio of outdoor advertising products, including advertising panels on major roads and at leisure and retail outlets throughout the UK.
The company was formed in 1984 and listed on the LSE in 1997 for £13.5 million; it later sold to SMG for £35 million in 1999. In October 2007, it was sold to GMT Communications, an investment company, for £62 million. The deal was reached as part of a leverage buyout in conjunction with the senior management team at Primesight.
On 1st September 2009, Primesight completed the acquisition of Titan’s entire roadside billboard estate consisting of 8,600 panels. This has created a massive change in ownership within the out of home sector and reduced the number of roadside contractors to just three.
In addition to these new panels, Primesight's portfolio consists of approximately 13,000 smaller six sheet outdoor panels across the UK and a further 130 large format backlight panels principally in the London area. Primesight has illuminated displays in 421 different districts and 733 towns and it is estimated that 80% of the UK population see a Primesight six sheet panel every fortnight. In Glasgow, Primesight offers a variety of impactful advertising formats on the subway reaching a unique audience of commuters and shoppers across the network’s 15 stations.
Primesight is delighted to be associated with the Scottish Style Awards and very much looking forward to a great evening. Good luck to all the nominees!
