Hot ticket: a major runway showcase for Glasgow's most vibrant new fashion stars is being staged as part of By Special Invitation, a calendar of fashion and music events linked to this year's Scottish Style Awards.

Under the creative direction of David Hayes, the eagerly anticipated NEW GLASGOW fashion show will feature eight of the city's most dynamic and internationally acclaimed young talents.

Participants will range from Deryck Walker, fresh from his triumphant womenswear debut at London Fashion Week, to Aimee McWilliams, tipped by the Clothes Show as a name to watch . . . from Olanic, Niki Taylor's sleek streetwear label, to Vidler & Nixon, the latest recruit to the Glasgow: Scotland with style Design Collective. The show will also feature innovative knitwear designs by Emma McCorquodale and the extraordinary embroidery-work of Scott Ramsay Kyle . . . plus ravishing collections by lauded newcomers Louise Gray and Jamie Bruski Tetsill.

The NEW GLASGOW show, preceded by a drinks reception, will take place at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow's Merchant City on Thursday 25th October at 10pm.
